Getting enquiries into Leadmend
Four ways in, and which one to pick depending on what you already have.
Before you start
- An account, and a business described in Settings
Decide which way in you need
If you already have a website, use the embed snippet. If enquiries reach you by email, use the forwarding address. If they arrive through something else entirely, use Zapier. If you have no website at all, build one here.
The embed snippet — for a site you already have
Website → Embed snippet. Copy the block and paste it into your existing site where you want the form. It carries a token that identifies your business; nothing else needs configuring.
Worth knowing: The token in that snippet is visible in your page source, by design. It can only create enquiries for your account — it cannot read anything.
The forwarding address — for enquiries that arrive as email
Website → Forwarding address. You get an address to forward to. Anything sent there is treated as an enquiry and answered on the same rules as your web form.
Zapier — for everything else
Integrations → Zapier. Connect the account, then use the Send Enquiry action in any Zap. Useful when enquiries land somewhere with no direct integration.
Check it arrived
Send one through, then open your Dashboard. The enquiry should appear within seconds with a reply beneath it. If the enquiry is there but no reply, the enquiry did not include an email address to reply to.
You are done when
A test enquiry visible on your Dashboard with its reply underneath.
