Routines that run while you work

Pick a ready-made routine, or describe one in your own words and have it built.

Before you start

  • A Growth plan, or the free trial of it
  1. Start from a preset

Automations shows several routines you can switch on in one click — chasing an enquiry that went quiet, asking for a review after a finished job, flagging the urgent ones. Starting here is faster than describing one from scratch.

  2. Or describe the one you want

If none of them fit, say what you want in your own words and it gets built. You are describing a routine, not writing a rule.

  3. Read it before you activate it

A built routine is not a running routine. The panel says plainly when something is built but not activated yet. Open it, read what it will do, then activate it.

Worth knowing: This is deliberate. A routine that emails your customers should never start because you clicked something once.

  4. Set your opening hours

Automations → Opening hours. Any routine that runs 'outside your hours' uses this schedule, so it is worth getting right before you switch one on.

  5. Add seasonal reminders

Seasonal reminders reach past customers months later, on a date you choose — a boiler service before winter, a system check before summer.

  6. Check what it did

You can see what a routine will do before it runs, and what it did afterwards. Check the first few runs rather than assuming.

You are done when

A routine running on its own, and a record of what it did.
